Problem printing mixed size pages in pdf

I am seeing that other people are having this issue but dont ever see a solution. I cannot print mixed (letter/legal) pdf's. Apple and Brother and HP are all telling me after hours on the phone that it is an Adobe issue. I print large files and have Big Sur. Does anyone have a fix? I do only have the free Adobe. If purchasing a plan is what I need to do, I will, just dont know what plan. Which plan is compatible with my MacBook Pro and my dual drawer Brother printer? (Have an dual drawer HP as well but was told that Brothers work better with Macs. Not finding that the case so now have 2 nice printers)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
