Problem select text

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue when trying to select text. When I select text in a PDF document, the previous selection doesn't automatically clear, resulting in previously selected text still showing even after I've selected something new. This makes it difficult to read and work with PDF documents, as the text selection isn't displayed clearly.

I've tried various solutions, such as closing and reopening the file, changing the text selection settings in Acrobat Reader preferences, and even reinstalling the application, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any potential solutions? I would appreciate any advice or suggestions for resolving this problem.
