Problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.006.20320

Hello!

 

The National Swedish Courts Administration are currently experiencing a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.006.20320.

 

Our organization has 9000 installs of the software.

 

The current version 23.006.20320 has introduced a problem.

 

  1. A user opens a PDF document with Adobe Acrobat reader 23.006.20320
  2. Proceeds to mail the document using the built in mail to function using outlook.
  3. Writes the mail.
  4. And finally sends the mail through a shared mailbox.

 

The result is an email without any content (no body or header) just the PDF file.

 

If we revert back to Adobe Acrobat reader 2023.003.20284 the problem is gone.

 

We have identified two “workarounds” to the issue.

  • Using the 23.006.20320 version but adding the step of pushing save in outlook before sending the mail.
  • Or using another PDF reader (not adobe supplied).

 

Not everyone using the 23.006.20320 version is affected either but our troubleshooting has not resulted in any problems with either exchange or outlook.

 

We are currently not going to roll back to an older version of the software. However we do want to inform you about the issue we have.

 

Looking forward to test the next Adobe Acrobat Reader update.
