problem with converting pdf'ser

I purchased adobe back in march to convert pdf's to word or excel

It has been working fine up until two weeks ago

I now get a pop up

Windows application error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)

I can open the pdf, but it won't convert

If I have (1) pdf open, and try an open another, sometimes it won't me to, I have to restart my computer and then I can
