Problem with margins when printing booklets

I think there is a problem with printing booklets and I'm amazed it hasn't been corrected after all these years.

Why isn't therre an option to print booklets at full scale? As it is, Acrobat reader takes the printer margins into account and scales the content down to accomodate for them. That screws up the margins in the pdf.

You can make "safety margins" in the pdf itself to make up for the printer margins.

The ordinary user with his ordinary printer cannot print duplex without borders. It makes not much sense to offer an borderless printout for brochures as the users will then complain about missing border the saw in the print preview but were then deleted automatically by the printer.

By the way, my suggestion was not an option to print borderless.

I suggested an option to print full scale. That option is available when
not printing booklets, letting the printer margins crop the printout. Why
should printing booklets be any different?
