    Hi @Brave_personality6131 ,

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

This freeze-on-signing pattern usually comes down to one of a few specific things, so a bit more detail would help:

    • What's the exact app and version you are using? (Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro, check Help > About for the full number, since "v26.0001" is a bit short to go on)

    • Are you signing with a physical certificate/smart card or USB token (like a government ID card reader), or a digital ID you created yourself in Acrobat?

    • Does this happen with every PDF, or only some?

A few things worth trying while we wait to hear back:

    1. Turn off the modern signing interface. Go to Edit > Preferences > Signatures > Creation & Appearance > click More, and uncheck "Use modern user interface for signing." and reboot the application once, and check.

    2. If you're using a smart card, USB token, or a certificate tied to a government/bank signing service, check whether that software has its own update; those drivers are a common cause of exactly this kind of freeze, separate from Acrobat itself.

    3. Repair the installation rather than just reinstalling. Go to Help > Repair Installation and reboot the application once, and check if that helps.

    4. If repair doesn't help, do a clean removal first. Remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://adobe.ly/4fZhh9O, reboot the computer, and reinstall the application using the direct link https://adobe.ly/4qh8V0D

Let us know how it goes.
