Problems Printing Overlength PDFs with HP DesignJet 500, 510, and 800

Hi,

We have the following problem when printing PDFs in excess length: If I want to set a custom paper size (see picture) in the printer properties under "Paper options", for example, to be able to make better use of the entire surface of the paper, the entered values will also be accepted first ,

However, when printing, our plotters (HP DesignJet 500, 510, and 800) begin to print the PDF, but they stop printing after about 50-75% and therefore output only half-finished.

My question therefore: What could be the problem? Can the plotters not handle the size of the file (on average between 300-800 KB)?
