problems reading PDF

Need guidance - I am scanning and opening PDF files with no problem until suddenly Adobe Reader DC cannot read the document page.  I just see a blank document screen.  Why does this happen and how do I fix it?  The error message says it can't read the font and I need to download an add-on but that doesn't work -- nothing to download.

The issue is with how the file is created by the scanner software. It's not related to Reader.

You should report it to the company the created the application you're using to scan (and then OCR) the file.
