Problems with Reader DC 17.009.20044 in WIN7

I am running Win7 without problems or issues. I have a number of programs and am reasonably tech savvy. This version of the Reader will not install properly in my computer. Never had problems with Readers before on anything! Every start gives error message flagging RdrCFE.exe, note (0xc0000022), application error. Multiple reinstall by Windows does no good. When I disable this Rdr..., it is simply recreated shortly. I should add that these problems are just with your most recent changes with update. I believe there is some fundamental functional incompatibility, but I can not locate it and no "trouble shooter" tells me anything. Tired of spending time with this. I guess I want to simply ask what have you done that is different with this version ???  Thank you /

    Hi johnc5416285,

Could you please try once repairing installation from the control panel and then restart the system.

Check if restarting the system resolves the issue, as it worked for others.

If you still get the error message, please share the crash dump file using this process tool: Download Acrobat and Reader Process Monitor Tool - Adobe Labs

Please refer the steps provided in the link. Let us know if you need any help.

    Regards,

    Meenakshi

Thank you for your response !

I have completed a "repair" from the Control Panel. The Reader now seems to

function OK. Here is the situation:

In detection the program was identified as "Incompatible Application". The WIN

Fix for this now has this Adobe

    DC program operating under CompatMode #WINXPSP2. Repeated Verification;

    verify_YES. In addition following

system start-up I must provide permission for

"changes to be made by this program". I have only seen this box

following reboot... so far. Also, the little Adobe symbol (short-cut) now

includes what I would describe as a very

small Win Security image (shape like a shield) in its' lower right hand corner. (Very unique)

Thanks again Meenakshi. I guess I continue with the thought that there is something in the last updates for

Reader DC that is NOT design compatible with at least some versions of Win 7 Pro.
