I rechecked the permission settings - everyone set at highest level

Hello robertp31456575

As per the description above, you are not able to access Adobe Reader DC as getting an error message of access denied, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Adobe Reader DC from Help>Check for updates. Reboot the machine after the installation of any updates. You can also repair the installation files of Adobe Reader from Help>Repair installation(only for Windows). Reboot the machine again after the repair.

If the issue persists, please remove Adobe Reader DC using the Acrobat Cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs to remove any corrupt installation files. Restart the computer and install Adobe Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

You may also refer to Error 0xc0000022

Application unable to Start correctly Error: 0xc0000022 || 0x00000022
