If you have Mac os installed, follow the steps given in the link below to remove Reader on your computer:

If you have Windows, download and run Cleaner tool from the following link:
Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
Reboot the machine.
Install Reader DC from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
