Having the same problem here. Not only does Adobe freeze, but I am then unable to save or quit, and the only way to proceed is to force-quit from the task manager. It is fairly recently installed, so I don't imagine it's an update issue. Please advise.

    Hi Chaval,

As the application freezes while highlighting the text in PDF, did you check if it happens with a particular PDF or with all?

Could you please let us know the version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed on your machine?

Take help of the steps mentioned in this link Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC to check the application version.

Also, share the OS version installed on your machine.

We will be waiting for your response.

Let us know if you need any help.

    Regards,

    Meenakshi

Try once removing the application from your machine using the cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs.

Relaunch the machine and then download the installer file from here Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

    Check if that helps.

If you still experience the issue, please use this tool Download Acrobat and Reader Process Monitor Tool - Adobe Labs to capture the log files.

You can share the log files by using the steps mentioned here How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

Let us know if you have any question.
