Reader DC crashes Internet Explorer 11 when preview / viewing a pdf

Hello,

Ever since Reader DC updated to 19.008.20080, we can no longer view / preview a pdf in Internet Explorer 11 (on Win 7 Pro) This is a huge problem for us. Whenever we can we are now using Chrome of Firefox. However 2 things remain unresolved:

1) Our Prolaw accounting system now crashes on previewing pre-bills or draft invoices.

2) We have an intranet site that uses Microsoft Silverlight. While you can install an IE helper into Google Chrome, now Chrome crashes too when trying to view a pdf.

When will Acrobat / Adobe fix this newly created issue?

Thanks,

Steve Baer

I've been dealing with the same problem. It affected my entire enterprise as soon as 20080 rolled out.  The only way to get around it was to disable the preview in IE11.  In my opinion, that's unacceptable as a solution and this needs to be resolved by Adobe for as long as Windows 7 and IE11 are supported.  Because I love making my job harder, I decided to roll out the updates to my XenApp environment on 2008R2 a couple weeks later.  The same thing started happening....

There are other threads, perhaps there is one that has more answers?
