Reader DC installation issue.

Question

I was having issues with an older version including auto update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried installing the newest version several times. The installation fails with a "Newer version already installed error". What could be causing the error since I uninstalled the old (at least 2 or 3 versions older) and am trying to install the newest?

What operating system do you have?

I have experienced this problem on windows 8.

Automatic update to the latest version did not install, with error message. So I've uninstalled the Reader and then the problems began: “Newer version already installed”. I solved now, only by reinstalling an older version.
