Reader DC opening, but not able to view doc

Question

When I located a PDF online, it is able to open in the browser, but whenever I am trying to open a PDF file from my Macbook, it's not visible. I can click on the file top open it, Reader DC launches, but the document never appears.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the problem continues.

First pic is my screen after I've double clicked the pdf to open. As you can see in the upper left, it opens the program (you can see Acrobat Reader), but the document doesn't appear.

In the second picture, I can access the documents properties, but again, the pdf isn't visible.

I'm not sure what to do! Any suggestions?

Hi Googie,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Looking at the issue description given above, seems application is installed on your machine but doesn't seems to be launching correctly.

As you have already uninstalled reinstalled application, then we suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below-

Check whether you have got the latest patch of Acrobat DC installed or not? Version 2019.010.20091- DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products
If yes, you may reset the application's preference following the steps here: How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.
If nothing works, use cleaner tool to remove the application again- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and reinstall it.
