Reader DC send as attachment via GMail

Whenever I try to send a PDF as an attachment using the 'Email' button in Reader DC, I now get an 'invalid server response' message.  I am using Gmail for my email account, have selected the 'Webmail' option.  It used to work properly and suddenly stopped.  I have tried uninstall/reinstall/wipe and reload the pc all having the same effect.  I have also tried this on another computer and have the same issue.  I have removed/recreated the email account in settings, have verified that it has access to my Google data, but still this happens.  Any other ideas?  It seems more like a bug in the communication between Adobe reader and Gmail.

Edit:  I found a way around the issue.  I downloaded the enterprise installer and used the Adobe Customization wizard to configure email settings to use GMail.  I also configured it to uninstall any previous versions.  I then ran the installer while calling the transforms file.  Systems that were having this issue are now working properly.
