Reader DC shading quality compared to Acrobat: 3D models

Hi

I have recently upgraded to a Windows 10 PC from Windows 7.

3D PDFs displayed in Adobe Reader DC are very basic plain colours with no edge distinction where as the same 3D PDF displays well in Acrobat.

I have tried changing settings in the 3D & Multimedia Preferences category.

Is there a setting to fix this ?

As i understand you correctly , you are getting problem while opening 3D PDF in acrobat reader.

None of this is of any assistance.

The quality of the rendered 3D image in Reader is just a solid colour shape with no edge or hole definition or shadows.

Changing the light sources does nothing or any of the display preferences.

See image from Reader DC below with image from Acrobat below that.

I am going to re-install it to see if that fixes the problem.

Sorry to hear that the issue is still unresolved.

You can surely try to uninstall and reinstall the application.

Also, Please try to edit the preference settings in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as follows:

Go to Edit>Preferences>3D & Multimedia and then select the Enable Playing 3D Content Checkbox.
