Reader DC starts up in maximum window size

When I double-click a .pdf file in windows explorer, Reader DC always brings up the PDF window in full-screen. Normally I would expect it to remember the size and position of the last document and revert to that. (Windows 7 Pro SP1, DC version 17.012.20093.41392).
