Reader downloaded and installed, then disappears

On Windows 11, this usually happens for one of these reasons:

• Microsoft Store version installed instead of the desktop (Win32) version. The system is Windows 11 on ARM‑based hardware (for example, Snapdragon / Qualcomm processors). https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/arm-processor-support-on-windows.html

  • https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/apps/system-requirements/apps-compatibility-copilot.html

• Installation blocked/quarantined by Windows Security.

• Corrupt previous installation remnants

• Installation redirected to the user profile instead of the Program Files.

Please restart the machine once, then ensure that the OS is updated to the latest available operating system. Use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove any corrupt download and installation files of Acrobat Reader. Restart the machine after removing the files, then use the direct download link to download Acrobat Reader: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Please note that if your laptop uses an ARM‑based processor, the current Reader web installer may complete without errors but skip final registration, which explains why:

• The EXE deletes itself
• No app entry is created

After download:

• Right-click the installer.

• Select Run as administrator.
