Reader stopped working

I have the most current version, I know because I've downloaded it several times trying to make sure nothing is getting in the way.

I'm running a Mac OS High Sierra, if that makes a difference.

Every time I open Reader a pop up appears and never loads. I can't close this pop up and the only menu options I have are Edit > Select All and Edit > Special Characters. I can't even quit the program. To close it I have to use Force Close. Please help.

If the issue persists, use Acrobat cleaner tool to remove Adobe Reader Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the machine and install the latest version of Adobe Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

If you still experience any issue, create a test user profile with full admin rights and install Adobe Reader and check.
