Reader updates failing on Windows 10?

Hi,

I have a couple Lenovo Thinkpads running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.  Due to a software compatibility issue with another application I am running Acrobat Reader 11.

When I check for updates it tells me an update is available for version 11.0.10.  It downloads and I can start the installation but it fails quickly with the message: Update Failed, An error occurred.  Please check for updates again later.  Error: 130200.

This has been going on for a couple months now.  I've tried uninstalling Reader and reinstalling and I've used the Acrobat cleaning too also, so far no joy.

Any other suggestions?  Is version 11 not compatible with Windows 10?

On another computer, running Windows 7 Pro, I have version 11.0.17 but the download page from this computer only gives me version 11.0.10.  Is there a way to get the 11.0.17 installer package to install it manually? Does one even exist?

Thanks in advance,

Linn

    Hi Akanchha,

Sorry for the long delay in responding.  Thanks for the information, but I noticed that all of the links there said Acrobat Pro and Standard, I'm working with Reader.

But I noticed on the update dialog box there was a link for more information and that lead me to a page where I could download the .msp file for the current reader patch and that worked!

Unfortunately I did that on a different computer so I can't cut and paste the link here but I'll try and type it, forgive any typos.

    Hi Ljkubler,

There should not be any compatibility issue with the windows 10.

You may please try to install the latest patch through Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows

And let us know if it still doesn't work.

    Regards,

    Akanchha
