Can you please answer few questions below, will help me in understanding the issue:
1. Where you a signed-in user? If yes, are you still signed-in or signed-out? 2. Did this happen after the update of Adobe Acrobat Reader? 3.What is the version of app on your machine? 4. What is the OS version on your machine?
5. Did you had all local files in your recent list or other files as well?
I did like to point out that recent file list in Adobe Acrobat Reader, is just a list, so files are there on your machine, you just need to open them again to see in recent list again. Sorry for the incovenience but there is no way we can restore the file list for local files once cleared due to any reason.
Meanwhile, this is the first time we hear about recent getting cleared due to Windows update, we will continue to investigate this.
What was the older version of OS on your machine? If you can recall.
This happened to me also. The list contains nothing. Under File --> View All Recent Files, absolutely nothing is displayed. The computer restarted for an update and nothing has reappeared or was reopened. This has happened in the past also. All history of docs has disappeared. I can't open the recent files because I can't remember all that had been opened.
