Recover files after reinstall [branched]

I have the same problem...

I want to know if it is possible to rescue the files you've already edit when you uninstall and install the app.

[Branched. This is not the same problem as losing comments on reopening.]

    They have been removed from the "Most Recently Viewed" list since it has been cleared and rese with the reinstall. Look in the Documents and Download folder and other folders you have saved files to.

    Reinstalling removes all settings and history for the removed program before reinstalling it. I would try repairing the application before removing and reinstalling it.

    Or, if you are on iOS, the files are part of the app, and if you delete the app they are gone forever. Unless you made a backup.

    Uninstalling and reinstalling software does not delete any files that have been saved on your computer. They should still be on your hard drive.
