Repair adobe acrobat 9 pro

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.  I now receive an error message - "You cannot use this product at this time.  You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product"  Since this version is no longer supported....does anyone know what steps I should take?

Hi Michaelm,

Acrobat 9.0 is a very old version of Acrobat series, if you are getting the message of repairing the application's installation then you need to run the repair or if you have the serial number of the product it can be uninstalled and reinstalled.

Launch Acrobat>Help>Run Installation Repair

Or use cleaner tool to remove the application(only if you have the serial no. to activate)- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Download Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9

Did you try what it says? Of course you need to have the installer and serial number to hand. Is either one lost?
