Repeated requests to install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Font Pack (Continuous)

Question

I have a PC running Windows 10 Professional version 10.0.16299.125 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 18.011.20036. When I try to open certain PDF documents I receive the following prompt: "A font package is required to correctly display this page. Click "OK" to direct your browser to download the add-on form from Adobe.com. After installation, you will need to close and re-open the document to correctly view the contents dependent on these newly installed fonts.". When I clikc to proceed I am taking to the following webpage: Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Windows : Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Font Pack (Continuous) : Thank You

I download and install the Extended Asian Language font pack for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Application Maintenance and this sometimes resolves the issue but this problem has been occurring more frequently of late and sometimes it does not resolve the problem and I am unable to open the PDF document.

Can anybody suggest how to resolve this problem once and for all? Is it a known issue?

Hi Davide,

Sorry to hear the inconvenience caused to you.

Is that a problem with all the files you are opening in Adobe Reader or few specific one? Can you also share any sample file with us as we would like to test whether its a problem with the application or the file?

Meanwhile, you may uninstall the application using the cleaner tool once- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

And install it through- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions
