Right print wont work on new install

Hi All

I have done a fresh install of win 10 pro and adobe acrobat reader, and the right click print doesnt work at all. It works on all other applications such as word, excel etc.

Event viewer shows an error with event ID 1000

I have tried

Repair and reinstall of acrobat reader

Unchecking protected mode

Logging out and trying as a local administrator

Checking windows and adobe fully up to date

sfc /scannow

Checking default app is acrobat reader for pdf documents.

I dont really want to mess about with the registry as it can cause other issues, does anyone have any other suggestions?. I am quite surprised at problems with a clean install.

Thanks.

Hi trevw29982651,

Thanks for reporting this to us.

I have tried the same workflow and issue is not reproducible at my end.

Could you please provide the following information:

1) Has the problem started happening recently, or has it been going on for a while.
2) What's the version of Acrobat Reader you are using. You can check it by clicking on
(HELP) TOP LEFT CORNER > ADOBE ACROBAT READER

3) Is it happening with every PDF files and some set of PDF files. Please share any one of them.
4) It will be great if you can provide a video of the issue that’s happening at your end.
5) Is the issue happening every time, or is it happening intermittently.

Thanks,

Hi trevw29982651,

Thank you for reaching out and reporting this.

Could you please confirm if the option does not work only when you use the new UI?

Share the current Acrobat Reader version number. It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording so we can get this behavior checked.

Do share the make and model of the printer.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

I have found the problem, in case anyone else has this issue

There is a setting in adobe called 'disable new adobe'

Select that and right click works again.
