SAP embedded PDF - Acrobat Reader DC Error 103

Hello,

OS Windows 10 64bit

SAP Release 750

Version: 7500.2.4.1142

Acrobat Reader DC Version 2018.011.20040

With Acrobat Reader 11 everything worked fine, now in SAP embedded PDFs are no longer displayed.

If i reinstall Adobe Reader DC, the PDF Preview works, but after a reboot the Preview shows only a gray field.

After 1-2 Minutes an error appears:

There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.

If it is running, please exit and try again. (103:103)

After reinstall i've tested our GPOs (of course without reboot) and everything still worked.

I dont know what happened by the reboot.. maybe it's just one registry entry but i havent found anything yet.

I can still open PDFs in all Browsers and i tried out every Settings i found on google (protected mode and so on).

If i disable the Acrobat Reader ActiveX Plugin in Internet Explorer, the PDF is opened in Adobe Reader.

Looks like it had something to do with ActiveX Plugin?!

Do anyone has solution or some ideas?

    wow...the solution: protected mode

    protected mode off -> no embedded PDF in SAP

    protected mode on -> embedded PDF in SAP but our users can not open a PDF (a lot a manuals) from the Server without a security warning.

    list network shares in "Trusted Sites" (Add Host, Add Folder, Add File,..) doesnt work.
