scanned document using Scan Snap by Fujitsu

Using a printed document from WordPerfect 7X and scanning into pdf format,  The first page scans normal.  The second page scans lighter and looks slightly different.  When I print the scanned document, the second page prints lighter. Why does the second page of my scanned document look and print lighter ?
