Scanning directly to email not working all of a sudden

Have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I scan and send emails from Outlook all the time. All of a sudden it seems Adobe program  is forcing to me save the scan first in my files and then go thru the extra step to send in an email???? HELP

What is your workflow? Acrobat Reader can't scan or create PDF files.
