When I scan a document on my printer it says it is scanning it as tif (adobe acrobat document) and once it has scanned and is in the file it says its a pdf but when i try to open it I get the following message.

Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open kabuto 001.tif because
it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged
(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded).

So any idea why  tif (adobe acrobat document) is on my list along with jpeg, bmp and png and do you know what I scan it with to allow me to open it as a pdf?

Can your scanner create PDF files?
