Scanning to PDF

Until recently I was able to scan a document and it would automatically would end up as a PDF file.  Now what I get is an error saying that the documents is not recognized or is corrupted.  I have tried with a few different documents but the same happens.  What is it that is causing this now all of a sudden.  I am using Win 10 pro
