Screen flash and loss of app focus

I've got a Director legacy application that opens PDFs. This used to work fine with Acrobat Reader but with the latest version of the reader when a PDF is opened as a maximised window the screen briefly flashes before the PDF opens (if opened as a 'normal' window the screen doesn't flash). When the PDF is closed the Director application no longer has focus and the user needs to click on it before mouse rollovers etc work again. I've used the Foxit reader and it works perfectly. Has anyone else had similar problems?

    Hi Alan,

    Sorry for the delay in response. Hoping that you have managed to find the solution and your Adobe Reader is up and running fine now?

    If not, you may try removing the latest version of the Adobe Reader using cleaner tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and reinstall it: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

    Not sure about the exact settings and mechanism of how Director legacy application works for you. Please check, If there's anything needs to be checked within its setting.
