Seetings to open PDF in Reader Touch

I cannot open all PDF formats on my Surface.  Is there a way to change setting.  It doesn't matter if I save first and then try to open the file.  The files I'm trying to open I believe are call "lifecycle"

    Could you please confirm the version of your Adobe Reader? and is there any specific error message that you get when you are trying to open pdf document?

    You please open Reader> help>check for updates to see if there is any update is available?

    and then try again.
