Select All Text CTL+A not working

When I first loaded Acrobat Reader on my laptop that is running windows I was able to open a PDF and when clicking CTL+A it selected text on all pages of the PDF.

I have since logged into Adobe and now the CTL+A only works for the page displayed in the same file that it worked on before logging on.  I have tried signing off and it does not work.

There are no document security limitations.  

Help in getting this working again would be greatly appreciated.
