Selecting text only from geographic maps and exporting to MS Word

I have a large book as PDF file and it contains a number of maps with topographic names.
I need to select these names only from the map and export these names to MS Word or any other text editor for translation purposes. Currently these names are in English.
Is there a quick way of doing this?
Translating a globe per se is a rather tedious task.
