I am able to create a self-signed digital certificate in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI just fine. The expiration date on the certificate is automatically 5 years. Is there a way I can change the expiration date on my certificate from 5 years to 1-3 years?

    Hello Paxiah,

Sadly, the feature is not available to shorten the expiration date of the digital certificates. However, if you wish, you can file a feature request through Feature Request/Bug Report Form

    Hello paxiah4776938

As per the description above, you want to extend the expiration date of the certificate, Is that correct?

Please refer to the following KB doc which discusses the similar scenario Can I extend a digital certificate Link: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/930478

Validating digital signatures, Adobe Acrobat Link: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/validating-digital-signatures.html

Feel free to update this discussion for any further assistance.

I do not want to extend. I want to shorten from 5 years to 3 years. Is
