Setting to prevent Acrobat Reader DC from jumping pages (on its own)?

Hi!

As I am reading a document in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, occationally (often) the document jumps half a page or more, while making a little sound - without me touching anything. This is rather annoying, as it disturbs my reading. I've tried to find a setting for this, as well as googled it, to no avail. I use a PC.

Anyone have an idea? Bug? Missed setting?

To clarify, this is not the setting for jumping/not jumping pages as I scroll.

    Hi Marremoln,

    Could you please let me know if this happens with other pdf files as well? Have you tried opening other pdf files in Reader?

    Please confirm the version of Reader DC installed on the machine.

    To check the version, launch Reader>click Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

    Would it be possible if you can share the pdf file with us? I have sent you a private message for the same, please check the inbox.

    Yes, this happens with all pdf-files that I open in the program.

    The version installed on my computer is:

    2015 version 2015.023.20070

    Version File Version: 15.023.20070.19033 (didn't know which one)

    Hi Marie,

    Could you please try resetting preferences for Reader and see if that works?

    Please follow below mentioned steps to do so:

    Close Acrobat Reader.

    (ii) Go to C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC, 

    (iii) Move the entire DC folder to some other location like temp folder.

         To view temp folder, press and hold Windows key and press R on your keyboard, type temp in the run dialogue box then press enter.

           If App data folder is not visible under your user name, type %appdata% in run dialogue box>hit enter and select Adobe folder from the list.

    (iv) Restart Reader.

    Let me know if there is an issue following the steps mentioned above.
