Settings won't stick in Adobe Reader

I am trying to turn off assistive technology with AutoCAD PDF documents. Everytime I make adjustments in reader the settings don't stick after I close/re-open reader. When going through the process of "Read the entire document" it locks up reader.

Thanks for contacting us. Please provide me the details of the setting you are trying to set and about the reader locking up.

Also provide more details about system and acrobat version.
