Sign feature

So sad reader is gone as it always worked. the sign feature does nothing but script my name. No options are available for my old digital signature. What gives?

    Reader is able to digitally sign, but the document must have a digital signature field. Older versions of Reader were not able to digitally sign, or could but only if the document was Reader-enabled and included the Digital Signature usage right.

    Acrobat is different in it is able to add digital signature fields on the fly, assuming the document isn't protected against such a change.
