Sign-In to Adobe Reader -- Aaaarrrggghhh

I have forever been a huge Adobe fan, and never had a bad word to say about any product (well, I've never been too happy about the cost of Acrobat).   But whatever Adobe is trying to do with Adobe Reader is irritating beyond words.  It's a gross intrusion on my workflow, and locking up my computer until it's dealt with is several steps over the line.

 

What happened to the old, user-friendly Adobe?!

 

I am avoiding the Reader like the plague.
