Simple files and editing

Question

I just bought pro in order to edit.I seem only to be able to add some text manually in bounding boxes and have little control over movement on the page or pasting - when I paste it literally just double up on the writing and looks like a mess. I'm missing Pages so much and hope someone can help me just use this for simple files and editing.

Editing is always painful and never simple for PDF. Nothing is going to turn Acrobat into a word processor or DTP tool. Editing is a desperate last resort for when the original was lost and the backups eaten by alligators.

That said, if you want to add text and it pastes over the top it suggest you either aren't entering text editing mode before pasting, or that what you paste isn't actual text.
