Some pfs work, some dont. The ones which don't open work fine when viewed in the pdf previewer in outlook and also in chrome no problem, so its not the PDF, its that adobe reader has bugs.

Frequently, acrobat wont open any pdf, it wont open at all - nothing happens when you try to open an pdf (which has had the reader set as default)

When this happens,I open the task manager, and there are always many copies of "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (32bit)" running. Always two copies per time I tried to open a pdf and the app not opening.  So currently I have around 20 copies of this task.

I kiill them all.

Then if I open a "good" pdf, the app launches and shows the pdf.   If I close the reader, there are no reader process left behind.

If I open a "bad" pdf, it launches and shows the blank page.  When I now close the app, it leaves 2x "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (32bit)" running.

This is a HUGE problem as I need to open my invoices which are in PDF to see how much I need to pay, but cant.

I have just today downladed the reader for the first time on a win 10 64 bit machine.

Check for updates says "no updates available, installed: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (18.009.20044).

I am not expecting any support from Adobe as I had to live with major bugs in lightroom for 2 years before they fixed them.  My solution is to uninstall Reader, and go back to using chrome for viewing PDFs.
