Space bar no longer scrolls/advances page

Question

I used to be able to use my space bar to scroll down a document, a keyboard shortcut I found very useful. I changed some settings (in an attempt to prevent the #*&%# Bookmarks pane from opening every time I open a document) but I cannot get it back to the way it was.

What happens now when I use the space bar is it works as intended the first time, but subsequent space bar inputs opens the comment box and advances the cursor within the comment box.

Any input appreciated.

The feature works fine on our end. Could you please confirm what recent changes you have made?

Also, share the screen recording of what happens when you use the Space bar key on your keyboard.

Try reinstalling the application using the following steps:
- Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://adobe.ly/4bLF2O6).
- Reboot the machine.
- Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: https://adobe.ly/3VsCUVC;

Check if that helps.
