Sporadic display issues with pdf through Citrix session

We are running Citrix XenApp 6.5 with the Reader DC 15.10.20056 installed.  Sporadically when we launch a pdf through our session, the data will show not show up, however it is there.  If you take the mouse and try to highlight it, it will then show up and be seen.  If not, then the user does not know it is there.  This doesn't always happen however and the text does show up without having to highlight anything.  We have tried disabling smooth scrolling and some of the other rendering items, but it doesn't seem to make a difference unless there is one setting that I am missing somewhere?  Any ideas are appreciated.

    Hello

We did some checks and looked for an solution .

Finally we found this Setting here in the Picture:

In our envirement the Problem with the Display from PDF Files in Citrix Envirement is

much better (...maybe gone) if we Change this Setting to "Immer" (Always).

Can you check this in your envirement too?

    thanks for Feedback!

    Hi InfrastrukturIT,

changing the setting "Use Overprint Preview" (the English name for Vorshau für Überdrucken) does indeed seem to fix the problem!

The PDF's that I use to troubleshoot this problem now show all content when opening and no longer have white spots in them. Thumbs up :-)

Also the problem that the content gets garbled when scrolling backwards is fixed with this setting in Acrobat Reader DC.

    Registry setting:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVDisplay]

    "iOverprintPreview"=dword:00000002

ps: Checked Reader 11 but in Adobe Reader XI it does not do much.

Ok great!  I will take this and test in our environment and respond with what we find as well.

Hi, we have the same issue. Citrix XenApp 6.5, Acrobat Reader DC 15.10.20060.  Opening a document locally shows everything. Opening the same document in a citrix session sometimes leaves parts of the document "white". clicking the document to select all will reveal the complete data. For endusers it's frustrating when a document does sometimes does not show the signature from management.

This started occuring when we upgraded from Reader XI to DC. I reinstalled a a citrix server from scratch but the issue remains when using DC.

We are Using Windows Server 2008R2. Hopefully someone has a fix!

Same issue here - Reader DC 15.10.20056 with XenApp 7.6. At random times, for random users, pieces of the PDF appear to be missing. Minimizing/Maximizing or closing the document and reopening works. It doesn't not happen consistently, and I can't duplicate it at-will. It does not happen consistently with the same documents, or with the number of documents that are open at the same time. I see no performance issues on the servers whatsoever. The issue does not occur with any other applications in the environment, leading me to believe it is not a Windows OS issue. We're using Server 2008 R2.

    Hello

We have exactly the same Problem here with Citrix XenApp 6.5 and Adobe Reader DC 15.10.20056  since about 2 months since we update

    to Adobe Reader DC.

This Problem appears only in a Citrix envirement - we dont have this Display Problems on fat Clients with local installed Adobe Reader DC .

Has anybody an idea what we can do in our Citrix to solve this?

    Thanks!
