Sticky notes in gibberish

When I type in a comment in my sticky notes, it reads beautifully. As soon as I save the document, close it, and then go back into it - whoops! It's all in gibberish. Why does this happen?

HOWEVER, if I open the Adobe website and from there retrieve my document, I can read it there perfectly. This confuses me and since I'm emailing the documents to people, it's embarassing that all they see is the gibberish.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

 

Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the issue for a better understanding? Also make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

 

If you are on Windows OS, please go through the correct answer marked in the similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/screen-turns-to-black-and-white-dots-using-adobe-acrobat-reader-dc-19-21-20049/td-p/10750278 and see if that works.
