Strange bug when opening pdf

I have several HDD in my computer and two of them are mounted in empty NTFS folder.

When I try to open pdf from such partition, acrobat reader just reports an error. the only way to open such pdf is to copy it to the partition mounted directly on a (any) drive letter.
