Text hidden in new PDF

Hello, I have a new subscription that came with a downloadable fill in field workbook.  I downloaded the workbook and the fill in fields work fine in my browser but when I open the doc with Acrobat Pro DC and type all I am getting is dots.  I am not figuring out how to fix this.

    What type of workbook is that? Most of the web browsers uses its own PDF viewer which works on different mechanism. Adobe doesn't have hold on it.

    If the workbook is open in Acrobat and giving dots while filling it, then it might be an issue with the font which isn't supported.

    It would be more clear to understand the issue, if you can share the sample file with us?
