The document could not be printed / an error occured while trying to print

We are using Adobe Acrobat Reader on a Windows 2016 terminal server.

We are continuing to get the document could not be printed and error while trying to print that has been reported many times on the page. We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product, and removing the %APPDATA%\Adobe\Acrobat folder as directed in other posts to no avail. We do not have any issues with the same configuration on a Windows 2012 R2 terminal server.
