The Exception BreakPoint.A Break point exception has reached

Hi Team,

We are trying to upgrade the Adobe Reader XI (11.0 + )version to Adobe Reader DC (19.0+) version and it is prompting the following error


"The Exception Break Point

. A Break point exception has reached

( xxxxxxxxxx) occurred in the application location xxxxxxxxxx. "

Click OK to terminate the program .

Please can any one suggest the solution to fix it permanently.

    Hey Hemanthm,

    If you are unable to update Adobe Reader XI to Reader DC, then try installing the most recent version of Adobe Reader DC through this link: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

    If it still doesn't goes well, then use cleaner tool to remove any previous version of Adobe Reader first: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and then try a fresh installation of Adobe Reader DC: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution 

    Let us know if it still doesn't work.

    Thanks for the update.

    I would like know which zip file need to be downloaded for windows. Here I can see there are two zip files for windows

    Adobe Reader DC and Acrobat DC Cleaner Tool

    AcroCleaner for DC and later

    URL :  Download Adobe Reader DC and Acrobat DC Cleaner Tool for Windows version 4.0 (ZIP, 468 KB)

    Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool

    AcroCleaner for 10.x and later

    Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool for Windows version 2 (ZIP, 651 KB)

    can you please confirm which is suitable for Windows 8 and above

    Hey Hemanthm,

    Apology, I missed to see your further question.

    As your current version of Adobe Reader is XI, so you can download and run the first zip file. 2nd one is for Reader version X and prior.

    Hope you have already tried it and its working fine for you now?
