Transfer PDF fields

Each year I fill out a PDF Taxpayer file which has fillable fields. The files are pretty much the same from year to year. Is there an easy way to transfer the fill data from the prior file to the current file to avoid re-typing all of the fields? Thanks.

Yes.

As you posted in the Acrobat discussions, I assumed you had Acrobat Pro or Standard.

With Acrobat Reader another solution would be to turn on the "Auto complete" option in Preferences : Forms.

Yes.

Open previously filled PDF, go to Tools : Prepare Form, find the "More" menu, choose "Export Data", and save the FDF file.

Then open the new document : Import Data, and select the FDF file.

Thanks. Do I need Acrobat Standard or Pro to access the "More" menu? I only have Acrobat Reader so far.

Usually yes, but if you use a script you can do it (both the export and the import) in Reader as well.

For example, this (paid-for) tool I've developed that allows you to do it:
